This is kinda a mix of fanart and WHOAMGCOPICSANDCOLOURS.

I don't own most of them (Haha I wish), just the ones with cicles around the numbers. The big swatches in the middle were me mucking around with some new Copics I bought. The swatches on the right were me testing some out at an art store because, being the expensive fuckers they are, Copics are something you need to consider before purchase (The underlined number are the ones I'm considering getting. I need a nice red).

And then I went all fangirly over Jak.

And I have a green Copic.

Bingo!

Swatches on the left are the colours used for Jak. The green seemed nicer at the time of purchace. I should have gone for the yellower one. Funnily enough, a lot of the green in his hair was done by overlaying my B00 over Y35, and then using YG06 for the darker areas (And a smattering of C-1 for some shadow).

YR20 Yellowish Shade: Base skin
YR00 Powder Pink: Second skintone
YR04 Chrome Orange: Goggle lens over C-1, since I lack a red
Y35 Maize: Hair base
B00 Frost Blue: Eyes, overlayed on hair for green
YG06 Yellowish Green: Straight green areas, darker hair shade.
C-1 Cool Gray No. 1: General shadow use

Cartridge paper bleeds like fuck. Blech. It has a nice texture though. Scanner always fucks up Copic colours; they're more saturated than in real life, and the skintone should be less yellow.

I'm normally not a traditional media person but I've recently been getting in to Copics a few months ago (More junk in scraps). There's a real satisfaction in having a one-of-a-kind finished, coloured artwork in your hand.

I like the profile shot better. His eyes are a little close together in the front shot and his ears are... lopsided, haha. Also I screwed up the design somewhat since I inked without ref (Fixed for the profile). I like how the colouring came out though. Been replaying through the second and third game recently, questing for Hero Mode in 2 so I can play through it again and get the mega scrapbook artwork. Haha. Only 6 Precursor Orbs to go.

Inked with Microns 0.1, 0.05 and 0.3. Colouring highlighted with a white gel rollerball.

Gonna go into the city tomorrow and draw stuff (hopefully). Yay~

Yay Jak! <3

It took me ages to find good paper to use copics with. I tried marker paper, but I don't like the feel of it. Right now I'm using como sketch pads, but the paper is a little bit yellow. >_<

Now, where was I...Yay Jak! :XD:
