Forte - Monochrome Bloodby ~kimiko

Forte (aka; Bass in the english version) is from Capcom's legendary Megaman series. I was kinda in a Megaman phase since my brother bought Megaman X6 for PS (it's got a nifty opening...). Even though Forte's only in 2 games (that I know of) I always liked him. He's kinda eeevil, and he's got a nifty character design.

I was experimenting a bit with a new style on this one. Usually I do a sketch, then outline then watercolour underneath, but with this I just started with a sketch then filled the whole thing out with the sable brush tool. I like the way it turned out tho.... bold but rough @_@

That hand was a pain in the ass too >.> .... I went through about 3 different hand poses, but I finally stuck with that one (I was thinking of changing it so his fist was clenched, but I couldn't be bothered...). The BG, amazingly, turned out pretty good. The text on the side reads "Douyara shinitai rashiina" or "it seems as if you wish to die" (A quote from Moriya from the fighting game The Last Blade). Well, it seemed like the kinda thing Forte'd say...

Title was inspired from a Weiss Kreuz song "In a City Stained in Monochrome". Incidentally the blood is the only thing which ISN'T monochrome @_@....

The blood is my Fav part, too XD. I mean, it's not everyday when I try to draw blood that it actually looks like it...

Forte!!! That is alsome!! But yeah Forte was in a LOT more then just two game's. MM7 [his first showing] MM8, Rock & Forte [where they team up :P (Lick)

], MM Power Battles [they also team up along with blues], MM Power Fighter's [ditto again], Battle and Chase, Battle & Fighter's [difrent game but like power battle/fighters], R&F-WS [rock an forte team up again] and I think two other's that I can't remember the game title to Doh II

oh... my........ I KNEW this would be cool when I saw the thumbnail~ I simply LOVE the paintjob, it really adds much more feel to any piece of anime, just makes it so much more Oriental (as I think I've mentioned). The shoes, those are just incredible shadings and highlights, plus the monochrome blood splattered on her shoe, ooo and the Japanese text, it just makes this character seem so cool! it really acenturates the atmosphere and makes her (him? sorry :P (Razz)

) character stand out even more! well done as always ;) (Wink)

Very cool...Like the "robot dress" and the partly hidden face...looks cool..and the blue color tones......And the red works great like an eye catcher in this...So the "text" be´tween the hand and the foot is like a kind of focus pint..I like the piece..Hope I made some sence with this comment....
