Generation 2007 [link] will be on sale at SMASH! the Sydney Manga and Anime show on August 18 [link]
--------
I should be sleeping... xD because I have my Smoke and Mirrors Visual Storytelling workshop at 9:30AM. But instead I'm working on my Generation comic. I have to draw another 8 pages in the next 11 days TvT (I started this back in February but only sketched two pages, haha). I've been busy with SMASH! stuff as well as being generally lazy, so now it's crunch time...! It will be so shameful if I don't finish it... If I do one page a day I should be alright. I have most of the second page done and the third page sketched.
Anyway. Teaser. I'm not going to upload all of it, because... I want you to buy Generation instead! XD Haha. But, Generation is a very quality publication filled with great Australian artists. So I hope you buy it and enjoy everyone's comics.
This comic is something I've been wanting to draw for a while. And by a while I mean a couple of years. It's a small piece of side story from a larger written work of mine, and I always thought it would be well suited to a comic. So I'm really psyched at the idea of finally doing something about it.
It's really just the simple tale of two brothers (despite their seemingly vastly different colourings, they are in fact brothers. Sohren takes after his mother with lighter hair and eyes, whilst Kathan takes after his father with darker features). But I won't spoil anything.
Criticism discouraged because... frankly I don't have time to agonise over smaller details XD;. (Umm, Kathan's necklace is missing in one of the panels, I need to draw it in later...)
All done digitally in Photoshop CS using a Wacom Intuos 3
Thanks~ Still got some pages to go... but I will finish it! I must XD...
