[edit] - [I meant that the program screws up when I use it, not that the actual picture ends up screwed up. I like my picture~ 'tis not screwed at all .. well, maybe his nose is a little off ....]
I swear to god, Shi painter fucking hates me. Every picture I draw in it screws up when I send it. Arggggg~! I'll have to stick to the older prog, maybe... which takes ages to do smooth line-art, but oh well.
I'm on a subtle Naruto high at the moment. Just watched episodes 66+67, and the Gamecube game 'Naruto: Gekitou Ninja Taisen 2' has been occupying my time not spent watching the tennis. It came in the mail a few days ago, along with everything else my brother bought from Lik-sang. All I can say is that the game uberly rocks muchly~ . Even though it's not highly technical, it actually touts quite a bit of depth to it. Although Neji seems to be a real cheap-ass for pulling off lots of combos. But anyway.
It's been a while since I've drawn anything much. Since getting on holidays, despite having heaps of time, inspiration is lacking. That and my brother took the scanner back up to his room. But I stumbled upon a japanese fanart site which had the most wonderful renditions of Sasuke and Itachi I've ever seen. It's almost like Hiroaki Samura's style of drawing, but perhaps more refined and with a slight manga tilt. Wonderful stuff~ Gives me ideas for next years Animania con as well. I want to draw something really spiffy for that~ In the meantime, I'll just draw idle doodles of Itachi ;D
I rather like how this came out actually, It's simple, but meh. I like simplicity. Actually, my style has slowly been skewing more on the realistic side of things (helped in no small ammount by the fact that my Art teacher says I should draw realism). But there's something about a more realistic style which I rather like. It lets you grasp a certain finesse which a deconstructed manga style doesn't allow as much room for, sometimes. Or maybe I'm just ranting...
At least you could use shi-painter! ;___; I used it twice and I reckon that I should just stick to paint BBS (couldn't understand the tools of shi painter)
T'is a very pretty picture- and yes, the simplicity works very well. I like that fact that even though there was a limited colour palette (black and white) you controlled the shading so well that the picture has a 3-D effect. Niceeeeee
PS: I'm a fellow holiday slacker too....procastination is infectioussssss

Gorgeous picture of him anyway. Your lines are so soft and smooth and expressive... ;.;
OMG! I thought I commented this already...did I? o-Ol
ANYWAYS! This IS a sezy sketch. I wanna draw like that :-; Just DROOL over my own work. I must keep practicing.
