Who? Kagae Hyuuen, an original character of mine. Looking moody and broody as usual...
What? Sketched on an A5 page, imported into Photoshop for inking and colouring. A stock photo was used for help with the BG

Title = LAME. But oh well.... I take minimal credit for finally doing a non-lame BG, as stock photos were used and abused to help create it D: The sky, however, and the little city in the distance, are all mine. Ish not the sea, however much it might look like it.... XE. I think it's the Rashien river, if my geographical knowledge of my own world isn't stuffed up. Kagae is standing on the southern side, at the Merchants District. I wasn't really thinking exactly where he was though, so it's a slightly mangled perspective of the northern palacial area. And amongst that I forgot to mention which city it actually is... it's Kohima, capital city of Tsuran. Mikaeru was born here, but Kagae himself hails from their western-bordering nation of Tokema.

But aaaanyway. I think I funked up the lighting D: (Some parts of him look to light for his position...). But that's probably my only real gripe. It's probably not 100% finished, but I've been wanting to get them all in a presentable state so they don't clog up too much Uni time later on (I'm procrastinating on study as it is...)

My favourite part is actually the two moons in the BG

. But I do like the colouring on his head too...

This is so lovely! I also like the two moons in the background, and the sea is very beautiful. I love the ocean and this reminds me of my week in Florida on the Gulf coast. It's so blue.

The stitches in his shirt and the charms on his sword's pommel are nice touches. You've got good attention to detail. The color scheme is also nice! I love browns and earthy tones like that. And his hair is a very nice contrast to the more muted colors of his clothes.

As for the lighting, I'm no expert on that sort of thing since I just cel-shade and half-assedly at that.

The only thing I see is too-light spots on the back of his ...kimono? The shirt he's wearing.

Ahh, beautiful! I love the background, it seems simple but actually has many small little details [cracks, moons, exct] <33!! Awesome job, I think you did an amazing job with the lighting and the shading [o.O no errors that me can see... then again, you're better off not listening to me lol] ^__^!!!
