Final colour poster design for SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show [link]
I've been having a lot of fun (mixed with the occasional frustration) doing print design stuff for SMASH!, it's good practice and experience away from the typical assignments of Uni. And then there's always the 1am MSN chats where we spend two hours getting the body copy text just right (Semantics and spacing, oh my) Grrr to the logo, it's like, hard to fit around stuff unless there's a nice free space. So I had to cut off the katakana from the SMASH! logo (Strangely, even though I designed the logo I don't feel indignant about chopping it off, haha). I didn't want to obscure Sai's lovely art too much so I tried to place the text unobtrusively. It kinda looks like a magazine cover, haha XD. Now, I still gotta do the guidebook and a few other things, as well as working on my Generation comic. Good thing it's holidays now... Mascot art by  Design work by  |
