If you're attending Sydney's Animania 2004 and would like to buy an A3 print of this, please feel free to leave a message so I can get an idea of how many copies I should make . Thanks~
The title is kind of random, actually... I was just looking through my playlist because I have a bad mental blank, and I don't want it to sound cheezy ._.. Cowboy Bebop music kicks ass~!
[edit 1]: Added the shading on his pants from the Kunai/chain
[edit 2]: Lengthened the shadow behind his head
[edit 3]: Fixed up his face a bit. His hair kind of doesn't look Sasuke enough-ish though :/
Who?: Uchiha Sasuke from Masashi Kishimoto's "Naruto". Yeah, he looks older. But I have trouble drawing kids ._.. And older Sasuke is teh sex~! What?: All photoshop 6, including the original sketch. Wacom Graphire 2. Time?: Oh, jeebus... I don't know. A long time. Probably around the 24 hour mark all up. I did it in lots of bits and pieces . Including those farking rocks... I textured each one individually~! x_X *laments the loss of details*. You can see some of the detail on the symbol crack here: [link] Favness: The details and background~! And his accessories. Just goes to show that I don't completely suck at backgrounds. Isometric ones anyway Blahness: Hmm.. the fact that nothing immediately comes to mind must be a good thing. I think something might be off about his shoulders, and I had to fix up his head a lot... Stuff I'd like people to tell me is crap or not/need fixiness: I don't know if the shdow looks right. I think it extends out too much on the bottom. If the wall needs some proper cracks, instead of just grunginess. And if there's anything wrong with Sasuke that I could conceivably fix without redrawing heaps of crap... Also, the positioning of the Uchiha symbol~
Yes, the background is sneekingly appropriated from Sasuke's recent Itachi flashback scenes XD. Although built mostly from scratch except the outline of the rocks and Uchiha symbol. You know, I just realised that Uchiha is a really corny pun on 'Uchiwa', which is a japanese fan ;o. How corny is that.... Anyway. Now that I think about it the title is rather more suiting than I thought when I picked it. Poor Sasuke 'snif'. He was such a damn cute kid! That little Katon Goukakyuu no Jutsu was so cute, but sad . And then Itachi has to be an evil (sexy) bastard and ruin his whole childhood. I'm sure he'd want it all back if he could, but, unfortunately for him, nothing's going to bring back his family. I think it'll be horribly tragic when he finally kills Itachi, because he may finally realise that revenge isn't a sustainable life goal. You kill someone, and then what? What are you going to do with the rest of your life?
That is FUCKING good work for Photoshop. I mean I use it myself. But so rarely do I see stuff so CLEAN, and with such texture, yet still remain so silky smooth, unless it were done in Painter. Dig the faded paint and the crack on the wall, MOST OF ALL. The fact that it isn't a texture just fuckin ROCKS.

You kill someone, and then what? Why, you kill /their/ family, of course. And their cat. If they have one. Then... uh... maybe he could become a lumberjack?
The shadow looked fine 'til you mentioned it... I'd not shorten it at the bottom, though, but lengthen it behind the head; the angle the light looks like it's coming in across his shirt in particular suggests that the head shadow should be longer. Personally I think the wall looks great without cracks, but could do with a bit of chipping along the edge to break up that otherwise-too-regular line. Other than that (and I only noticed either of those things after going looking for them) it's damn nice.
beautiful artwork .. ..
the background is great and i loved the cracks ..
sasuke's pose is awesome and i like the new design of his outfit and the way u colored his shirt .. the realistic face looks nice ..
i dont have much to crit. but there is one tiny thing u can do ..
the kunai-s and the chain from which they hang should cast some shadows on sasuke's pants ..
i've no more crits to add ..
Whoah, I totally forgot about the shadows from those things. His pants were annoying me at one point or another, so that might be why I forgot about it xD;... Thankyou for pointing that out~
This is amazingly well done. I can see the amount of time and effort you put into it. You have every reason to be proud of this
My only crit would be... His clothes, in comparison to the background and face, seem really simple e_e; If you did the background first, I can understand that you sort of rushed through the coloring X3 But I think going make and making some of the folds/wrinkles more details, and adding highlights/shadows would be a good idea... Just a thought :3 I really love it, though. The details in the BG are mindblowing o__o I know how irritating it is to work on something for so long (I have *NEVER* worked on something for 24 hours... or even 10 xD;; ), so I don't blame you if you call it finished now. But I think if you continue fine-tuning it, and make Sasuke match the level of awesomeness you have in the BG, this would look even more amazing that it already is *___*
Yay, you finished! XD It looks lovely as a pinup poster. ^_^ Clean and simple, yet the detail in the BG works well to balance that. Nice nice. It should sell well at Animania. XD
Yah, I think the gonising background paid off for once . I'm always such a slack ass when it comes to BG's... they're usually funged up textures or photos or something. I'll probably make more prints of this than the others, since it's better/newer/less sucky xD;... And I can always count on a constituent of fangirls to buy stuff (The power of fangirls is all! *froths*...)
Ahhhhhhh, a well drawn, original styled Naruto pic. Theyre frikkin hard to come by! Very impressive texture/painting skillz ! I'm sure this pic will do very well Ny fave bits are his face, and the symbol on the wall. Even if it does have the colour scheme/look like a forking pokeball!

I always felt that I hadn't achieved what I wanted to achieve. I always felt I could get better. That's the whole incentive.
