Now that I've recovered and am less angsty-mopey about Uni work (which I'm semi on-track for), it's time to update this thing in preperation for Supanova~

Hmm... maybe I was a little harsh on Animania in that last journal xD;... it's not that bad... but it could be better, so I hope they take the constructive criticism from this year on-board to make next year better.

But anywho~ Moving on to Supanova, which I'll be setting up for tomorrow for the pre-show Friday night. I did a very small extra print run (About 10 pages), mostly of the Sasuke images which ran our at Animania. I could probably get away with doing more but I'd rather sell out... I didn't really feel like shelling out more money since I don't seem to be terribly good at guaging what's going to sell and what won't. I was talking to Avi from Oztaku and he seemed to be of the mind that there's a better regard for originals at Supanova because the Artists Alley there is more about self published and original art, as oppose to the fanbase quality of something like Animania. So, I hope my originals sell better at Supanova~ All 85% of them that are left .__.. I put them at the front of my portfolio this time. If they're really not moving then I can try and flog them off on a Sunday sale or something.

I've set aside the printing cost money I recouped from sales, so the rest is going to be my happy spending cash. I hope to grab some awesome stuff from Tamarket while I'm there XD. I'm gonna pick up my Bleach Rukia figure I ordered from them, so I don't have to pay for shipping. Someone else is (hopefully) getting me Renji too, so they should make a nice pair X3. I think I'm mostly going to be scouring for good Bleach or One Piece merchandise. Although I'm a terrible sucker for nice phone-hangers from series I know. I think I'm building up a nice collection on my phone, with Itachi and D.N.Angel phone straps, as well as Sanji, Nami and Renji hanger-mascots.

Not gonna be in cosplay or anything, just normal dress. I'll be sharing a table with Caleynder and OneGreyElephant, bringing my Renji plush for company. Gonna be surrounded on all sides by dolfies this time


Also, amongst my moping last journal entry, I forgot to comment on sunday~ It was expectedly slow compared to Saturday, but I kinda liked it that way. Gave me time to relax and head down to the vendors, as well as having fewer things to worry about. The Photoshop panel went well, I think, despite my nonrehearsalness and slight lateness... Thanks to everyone who popped by to take a look . I hope you walked away with something helpfull anyway. I was a little surprised that a good 5 or so people lingered afterwards to ask me questions. It was really heartening to see such a positive response from those who came :3. Maybe if I do something like that again next year I can prepare it properly so it's less, uh, all over the place xD (And make sure we adjust the output of the projector before we start...).

I finally got to meet Rinoahsan too . Your bag looks even more awesome in real life XD. Really sorry I didn't laminate that picture for you. I feel bad about it now bcause it's not that difficult a task, but amonsgt the last-minute rush of preperations I just didn't end up finding the time. I wish I'd gotten around to tasseling my bookmarks too .__.;. But those peanut butter-cups were really delicious X3 *ate the last one today*


So, now I just gotta crop my remaining images, do a few other things, and then I'll be all set for Supanova. At least at this con I won't have as much to worry about apart from sitting behind a table. Which is kind of good, but I also miss my involvement in Animania. Even though it can be stressful sometimes, it's fun when you're getting more involved in things like I was at Animania with the panels and competitions. Wrapping up the final ANimania figures, and I didn't do too badly out of the whole con though.
