Now, I have actually had this particular idea in my head for a while, but I haven't acted on it until now. It's based on a piece of sidestory from a much longer written work of mine. It won't be very long; 15 pages max. But I'm excited to finally be putting my art where my words are. And if nothing else I'll hopefully learn a thing or two @w@. So far I only have the first two and the last two pages scripted, and the first two sketched. I want to finish as much as I can before Uni starts, but I definitely want to have it done for the Generation deadline.
So, we'll see how it goes~
Also, I bought Okami the other day. The graphics and art are so gorgeous. FFXII comes out tomorrow too, and Hotel Dusk. Something to occupy the time on the train, haha. I still haven't finished Phoenix Wright yet though. I'm such a bad game hoarder... Hopefully FFXII won't distract me too much when I go back to Uni on Monday.

New anime/manga convention for Sydney. Help by spreading the word~ :3

and yay, for FINALLY FINALLY being able to get FFXII!! *cheers*
From what I've played so far it's a bit like Phoenix Wright, sans the courtroom scenes. So more about talking to characters, finding out things, etc. You can move around the areas in 3D and interact with points of interest. It's more like those old Day of the Tentable point and click adventure games. The art style is so gorgeous though TvT. I got sucked in by the art, but it's been getting good reviews too (Sits around 80%)
I've been playing FFXII since I got home~ And I got the hardcover guidebook... I'm such a sucker (After all the staff discounts it wasn't too expensive though). Now I'm trying to play three games at once xD. Ack.
And, I'm already addicted to FFXII!! It's just so damn pretty!!
As for Okami - it rocks, but I need to get back into it and finish it. FFXII is a bit... ughhhh after spending time on the Jap version, I cannot be bothered playing the NTSC. Oh well. PS3~
btw, I've been always wanting to ask you but kept on forgetting. About that new convention in Sydney (SMASH), do you know when it'll be held? I'll be dropping by Sydney in July for 2 weeks and just wanna c if I can make it ^___^
SMASH is being planned for August-September, but it has no fixed date yet. So it looks like you could miss it TvT. But I guess we'll have to all see when it gets a final date~
I really hope you manage to get this manga done, as I'd love to see what you produce. Your artwork rocks so much, I can only imagine how much awesomeness a manga from you would be.
Guess I'll have to hang out and wait till the next con' to see if you get it done.
Keep at it!
I'll be posting up the first page or two when I'm done inking them, though I'm gonna staving off inking until I have the whole thing sketched out.
Anyways hopefully you can stick with it, and keep us all ultra-updated on it. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress.
