I was uber pleased with my art result though. I had horrible feelings about the exam because it had a horrible question on architecture and the Structural Frame... but apparently my combined exam and practical work were enough to earn me a 97 o_O. I mean, it has been my best subject so far, but that's like... woah. Extension English one and two were mixed, but ended up balancing themselves. The story for Extension 2 which caused my teacher so much angst (I'm a procrastinative writer at the best of times..) really surprised my with its mark, which was higher than I'd expected. But subversely, my Extension 1 essay mark was my worst result for the subject. I think the marking or something was whacked, because a friend of mine who's in the top of the class got a similar mark to me (when we got together after the results we shared equally perplexed complaints about its whackedness...). But they kind of balanced eachother out which was good. In the other subjects I improved over my trial marks which was good too. I was really pleased with my Modern mark which I'd tried to work on since the trials, and I ended up gaining 8 marks X3.
I must congratulate all my friends who worked their asses off like the rest of us. Especially to those who got their names on the honour role, and to Alison for being the freakeh person she is and getting above 90 in 10 units. You go girl~! XD. And, above all, for those who might't have gotten a special notice but nevertheless tried as hard as you could. I'm a lazy arse and shouldn't take my marks for granted; I salute anyone who tried their hardest. As long as you tried, you should be proud of your results. I know that sounds corny but it's true. Not everyone can get marks of 90+ in every subject. I sure as hell didn't (Whether I could have is a question for another day).
And the end of the road, 12 years of schooling has culminated in one number that will in some small way decide part of my future. It's not the be all and the end-all; nothing ever is. But it's still an important number for anyone who's just finished the HSC. Snerk or glare or do whatever you like, but it's my number, so there
91.25
*gasps great sigh of accomplished relief*. Yeah, I could have tried harder. Everyone says that. But you know what? It's over. So MEH
